This week we have received the planning permission for the Lopez House. While preserving the external walls and some of the original features such as the shared staircase, the refurbishment of this building comprises a new pitched roof with a terrace, new façade openings as well as new external and internal layouts in order to give a new life to this 1950s house.
We are among the finalists of the Concentrico 05 competition. The open call by the Festival Internacional de Arquitectura y Diseño de Logroño seeked a proposal for a temporary architectural intervention in Plaza Santa Ana to be self built with a specified amount of material. Given this extraordinary site in the historic centre of the town, we asked ourselves: ”what if we could be able to experience the historical imagery that we perceive standing far above our heads? “
