Inspired by the traditional teepee structures, the proposal investigates the idea of stimulating the perception of warmth through the color diffusion and, at the same time, the perception of an unexpected and colorful landscape from the inside of the teepee. Arranged around its central pole, the geometric structure progressively opens to reveal the entrance. Inside, a three dimensional skin made by shimmering layers of dichroic film creates a unique space where the wide and monochromatic landscape can be experienced through a unique and ever changing kaleidoscopic lens. The circular plan invites the visitor to walk or skate in circles to enable a 360° perception of the countless light effects created by the overlapping triangles and their multiple orientations. At night, any source of light placed inside the hut will be magnified and, at the same time, dispersed into an undefined mix of colours.
